EDGE is designed for junior high students in grades 6-8. EDGE Core members are committed to providing these teens a dynamic program to help them follow Jesus Christ by inviting them to become more active in the Church, more active in the Church’s liturgical tradition, and more energized to grow and live the Catholic faith.
St. Paul parish invites all 6th and 7th grade students to participate in EDGE on Sunday night from 6:00-8:00PM in the Parish Social Hall. At EDGE nights, we’ll discover the greatness of our faith, share our successes and struggles together, and then go forth to be “the hands and feet of Christ” in our families, school and community.
What is the EDGE?
EDGE is a Catholic middle school youth ministry designed for young teens in grades 6-8. EDGE was developed after the Life Teen model by the Life Teen staff and board of director, which includes a Catholic Bishop, priests, and experienced youth ministers.
EDGE is designed to meet the catechetical, educational, spiritual, emotional and social needs of today’s young adolescents. EDGE nights do not use the traditional textbook form of catechesis. The students gather in a large-group for a gathering activities, teaching and prayer. After the large-group, the middle school youth break up into small groups. In these small groups, the youth are lead by adults and actively engage in exploring their Catholic faith and discussing how to live it in their everyday life. Through these small groups, the youth are able to build safe Christ-centered relationships with their peers.
To register for EDGE please use the Family Faith Formation Registration form found under Youth Ministry Forms on this website.
